The 90’s Hairstyle Making A Comeback

Signature hairstyle of the 90’s “VOLUME BOUNCY BLOWDRIES” is making a hot comeback! That classic Cindy Crawford, Denise Richards and Alicia Silverstone BIG BOUNCY hair is coming back and we are absolutely living for it!

We’ve spotted the 90’s hairstyle making a comeback on Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence, Megan Fox and Addison Rae . Since then we’ve seen Gigi Hadid and most recently Hailey Bieber sporting the look. Book into one of the Sutherland Shire's most prestigious salons to jump on this trend.

In 2022, the trending 90’s hairstyle is officially a volume bouncy blow dry and it can be achieved using just a blow drier and a round brush, with pins or rollers to give extra hold and volume or even using our new favourite tool making it super easy, the Dyson Air wrap. You can find this and other hair tutorials on our instagram @coco21_caringbah.

Using the right products can either make or break your bouncy blow dry, ALWAYS use a heat protectant when using hot tools. All of these haircare products can be purchased on our websites online store. Click on the products to read more!

Our favourite products to use in a bouncy blow dry are:

“ROOT CANAL” Volumising Spray - Pretty much speaks for itself, we spritz this onto the roots to lift and build body and texture.

“DAY OF GRACE” Pre-Style Primer - A foundation product before styling to hydrate and keep hair feeling natural and bouncy

“MISTER FANTASTIC” Blowout Spray - Adds texture and fullness to give the hair a better hold on the curls set, defies humidity and adds thermal protection.

“MISS MALLEABLE” Hairspray - Gives hair a strong but flexible hold to keep you lasting all day, easy to brush out with an invisible finish.

The key to this hairstyle, regardless of the part is to ensure the hair is completely dry before setting the curl and over directing the hair, by pinning a curl thats not 100% dry, it will just fall flat and will ruin the look of your masterpiece. By over directing the hair, your creating VOLUME! Over directing the hair just means your blow drying it in the opposite way, so that when you flip the hair back over it will sit nicely and have volume.

Use Water Killer Dry Shampoo on the front pieces of hair to create a textured look like Kendall or Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil to get a sleeker look like Kylie.
